About Karen Covy
Karen Covy has been helping people get through their divorces for nearly a dozen years. She's practiced law for more than twenty years, and now focuses a substantial part of her practice in family law. She handles cases involving divorce, child custody, paternity, visitation, and family support. Karen is also a divorce mediator, and the founder of Midwest Mediation, a company dedicated to helping couples resolve their family disputes outside of the court system whenever possible. She also volunteers as a facilitator in the Domestic Relations Division of the Cook County Court system, helping couples resolve their divorce disputes with minimal court intervention. Karen Covy is the author of When Happily Ever After Ends: How to Survive Your Divorce Emotionally, Financially and Legally. This groundbreaking guide helps people get through every aspect of their divorce and helps them manage the fighting that so often takes place long after the divorce is done. She also is a frequent guest on radio talk shows. In addition to her legal and mediation practice, Karen Covy is also an adjunct law professor at John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, she teaches legal research, writing and argument. Karen is a graduate of the Western Michigan University and the University of Notre Dame Law School. |
